Pork Soup with Veggies
This is another common Filipino recipe using pork. Pork soup has different varieties and you can almost add your own signature to this dish. In this recipe, I still to the ones I learnt from my parents and uncles/aunties. Simply, just water, pork and veggies.
Ingredients
- Pork belly, just 100 grams will do
- Water
- Onion & ginger
- Chili
- Beans
- Squash
- Chinese Cabbage (Pechay)
- Salt, seasoning & black pepper
- Beef cube (I don't have pork cube so yeah beef/chicken cube will do)
Procedure
Boil water and just add the pork, ginger and onion. Also add beef cube, salt and black pepper. Bring to a boil. Remove lard. Cook it for 15-20 minutes. Add beans and squash and cook for another 10 minutes. Well, it can't hurt if you get your tea while waiting, heh. Next, drop in cabbage and chili. This should be ready in about 2-3 minutes.
This can be a proper meal during rainy days.
